American Heart Association Kids Cook With Heart Program Comes To Washington Middle School

What-
Kids Cook With Heart is a 6-week after school program.  It is completely free and paid for by the American Heart Association.  The program is taught by a professional chef who will teach students how to prepare healthy recipes/meals.

When-
The program starts on Thursday, January 15, 2015 after school from 4pm - 5:30pm.  The program meets every Thursday for 6-weeks.

What You Will Learn-
Students will learn to prepare and cook a variety of foods (meats, vegetables, grains, salads, smoothies, etc).

Benefits-

  • All ingredients, supplies (burners, knives, blenders, etc.) are provided
  • You get to eat what you make!!
  • You learn how to cook healthy, delicious meals that you can also cook at home
  • You get a certificate at the end of the 6-week program


How To Join-
We are only accepting 25 students!  Fill out the application.  Return it to your Science or Health teacher by Friday, December 12, 2014..  You will be notified if you are in consideration for the program along with an interview date.  Show up to the interview.  After the interview you will be notified if you have been selected to participate in the program.
